The Teacher is portrayed as a kind person ready to impart knowledge. The large head filled with squares represents knowledge, wisdom and the many facets of learning. Primary colors along with AEIOU relate to basic teaching. The Sun and flower in the background are the pure joy of learning. This Teacher also pertains to "anyone" you may happen to meet some where, at some time in or out of a schoolroom, who has touched you with the indelible influence of a great teacher. An old Zen proverb states this well, "When the student is ready, The Teacher will appear." It could be you !
About Cherie Salerno
Cherie Salerno-AKA CS Mau- is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago ( SAIC) with a concentration in capturing concepts through art! She finds great pleasure creating artwork filled with uplifting colors and exciting movement. This movement is inspired by musically directed lines, swirls, dots and colors that appear in many of her artworks. Subject matter spans inspiration found in nature to classical influences. She believes in sharing her talents through the gift of teaching others in her own private art studio.
