MOODS reflect four individual temporary states of mind. Four squares, four different colors, and the same person pervading a distinct mood in each section. Humorous, melancholy, romantic, mysterious, calm, reflective, the list is endless when describing possible moods. Describing the overall tone of this piece one might think of a lighthearted, whimsical state of mind. Bright airy colors possibly lead to this opinion. Mark making is an important addition to the mood. Zigzags could represent tension, stress, thoughtful reflection. Dots bring smiles. Straight lines are a secure grounded feeling. Scalloped lines are delicate sensitivity. Everyone in the world can relate to their own changing MOODS!

Cherie Salerno-AKA CS Mau- is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago ( SAIC) with a concentration in capturing concepts through art! She finds great pleasure creating artwork filled with uplifting colors and exciting movement. This movement is inspired by musically directed lines, swirls, dots and colors that appear in many of her artworks. Subject matter spans inspiration found in nature to classical influences. She believes in sharing her talents through the gift of teaching others in her own private art studio.
