Description
CHICAGO WATER TOWER is a whimsical golden-line portrayal of one of the city's most familiar and treasured landmarks. Constructed between 1867 and 1869 by architect William W. Boyington, it is one of the few buildings to survive the Chicago Fire of 1871. The tower was created for the city's municipal water system. It's location on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, draws thousands of tourists regularly. Deep night time blue is the setting for this image. Vague stick people are wandering around the Tower, chatting, smiling, enjoying the city scene. The wild transparent red tree with sparks of green leafs and arms reaching out, mixes up vibrant city energy-the black lamppost clock is a stabilizing feature.
