APARTMENT is located in a busy city some where-any where. Fire escapes add to the appeal of linear vertical movement. The four-story yellow brick building is not quite straight and erect. It emits an older cozy warm welcoming feel. Located at the street level is a small city cafe. People off to work often stop there to start their work day with a quick cup of hot coffee or tea along with a sweet roll and perhaps a chat. The second floor could be home to a small office of sorts. On the third floor, quite possibly, are family tenants. At the top is a small dance or music studio. Musical sounds are heard from this space. The building's happy neighborhood is quite busy with people talking, car horns honking, and dogs barking in the noisy city life found in APARTMENT !
Cherie Salerno-AKA CS Mau- is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago ( SAIC) with a concentration in capturing concepts through art! She finds great pleasure creating artwork filled with uplifting colors and exciting movement. This movement is inspired by musically directed lines, swirls, dots and colors that appear in many of her artworks. Subject matter spans inspiration found in nature to classical influences. She believes in sharing her talents through the gift of teaching others in her own private art studio.
